Using Forgiveness as a Tool To Muve ForwardJul 23, 2021
What is on your mind lately that might be causing reoccurring pain and trauma in your life? Is there room for forgiveness?
Why is it important for us to forgive? When we hold onto things and stay stuck in past emotions, we are robbing ourselves of moving forward, and allowing light in.
Our minds are powerful. We might be experiencing mental blocks that are really preventing us from experiencing our life in its full glory. If we are constantly living in the past, we won’t see what is ahead of us. Michelle provides listeners with some tangible ways to start a process of forgiveness.
ALSO! Michelle shares some huge news about her first event this year! She is hosting a live podcast recording event at the Guild Inn in Scarborough. All are welcome. Stay tuned for more information.
On this episode we dive into:
- Forgiveness as a necessary step in your self-love and development journey
- Reflecting on past experiences that are preventing you from moving forward
- Being conscious of living too much in the past, and missing out on the blessings in our present
- How to process forgiveness
- How gratitude is a really important to step in the forgiveness process
The Take Home:
We all have a past that has shaped us into who we are today. But our past is not always pretty. When we hold onto past experiences and sit in suffering, we are not embracing all of the blessings that are in our current lives.
Michelle journals as a tool to help in her forgiveness processes. Sometimes she even writes letters and burns them - especially on a full moon!
Talking with a therapist about guilt, shame or regret you might be holding onto is also a really important step in your self-care journey. Check out Greenspace to be set up with a therapist that is right for you!
